The Asian Leadership Institute (ALI) is an executive coaching and leadership organisation dedicated to the development of ‘wise leaders’. They have a 30-year track record of helping CEOs and executive management teams from multinational corporations and family-run businesses. They work with clients from over 20 countries, including India, China, Singapore, Canada, the U.S.A. and Europe. They consider awareness and consciousness to be key to personal development, leadership and lasting organizational change.
The organisation is continually growing and asked us to refresh their logo. They have recently started to develop programs for major companies to train their business leaders and millennials to become conscious leaders. The new logo needed a more contemporary design, whilst retaining elements of the thirty year heritage identity, recognised and respected by major organisations.
We created a contemporary logo illustration and typography, embodying energy and stability . In Zen terms the circular symbol (called enso) is known as the circle of enlightenment.A closed circle represents the totality of experience and life. We chose two colours. Yellow to represent energy, intellect and enligthenment and grey as it is the colour of infinite interpretations – the ability to see in between black and white, a colour also representative of dignity and self respect.
